Without the official API

Keep your number. Keep WhatsApp on your phone. Still get it answered.

Most WhatsApp assistants are built on Meta’s official Business Platform. Before you can use one, Meta requires that the number is not already on WhatsApp. In their own words:

“Numbers already in use with WhatsApp cannot be registered unless they are deleted first.”Meta, WhatsApp Business Platform documentation

For a business with a receptionist and a spare line, that is paperwork. For one person whose only number is both the business and their own WhatsApp, it means deleting the account their customers already message, then waiting on a verification process, a business portfolio and a developer to set up a webhook.

This connects a different way. You scan a code, exactly as you would to use WhatsApp on a laptop. Your number stays on your phone, your chats stay where they are, and your customers notice nothing.

The difference, plainly.

One fair qualification, since we would rather you heard it here. Meta has a newer coexistence mode that lets some businesses keep the app on the same number, so the first row is not true of every official setup any more. It still asks for the Facebook login, the verified business and the review, and it still ties the number to one provider.

And note the last row. It is not in our favour, and the rest of this page is about it.

The part other pages leave out.

Search for whether WhatsApp automation is safe and you will find two kinds of page. One sells the official platform and tells you anything else gets your number banned within weeks. The other sells the unofficial route and does not mention risk at all. Neither cites a single piece of evidence.

Here is the honest position. This is not Meta’s officially supported route for business automation. WhatsApp’s terms prohibit non-personal and automated use, and the separate terms for the WhatsApp Business app, updated in September 2026, prohibit using software that interacts with it without Meta’s written consent. We do not have that consent. The policy that does permit automated replies covers the official Business Platform, which this deliberately does not use, and we are not going to quote it at you as though it covered us.

So the last row of that table is a real advantage for the official route, and it is not ours. That route carries less risk than this one. It does not carry none, because Meta restricts numbers on its own platform too, but less is less and we are not going to pretend otherwise. If your number is the whole business and you cannot tolerate any chance of losing it, use the official route and accept the setup. We would rather tell you that than sell you something you will regret.

What we can tell you is how the product behaves, because that is what enforcement actually responds to. It only messages people who messaged you first or asked to hear from you. It stops instantly when someone says stop. Follow-ups are capped at three a month per person, and stop entirely if anyone asks. It does not broadcast, it does not buy lists, and it does not send to people who never contacted you. The vendors in this category who discuss restrictions at all put them down to sending patterns, the reputation of the number, and recipients blocking or reporting the sender, rather than to the software itself. None of those describe what this does.

And we can tell you what we have actually seen, which nobody else in this category publishes:

Days of production logs

Connected numbers

Across real businesses.

Restricted by WhatsApp
0

No ban or restriction of any kind.

Disconnections
4

Every one a person unlinking the device by hand.

That is a small sample over a short period, and we are not going to dress it up as proof. It is what we have. We will keep publishing it as it grows, including if it starts saying something we would rather it did not. If you want to wait until the number is bigger, that is a reasonable thing to do, and the free plan will still be here.

One practical point either way: if a connection ever drops, your WhatsApp account and your chats are untouched. You reconnect by scanning the code again, the same as relinking WhatsApp Web.

And then it does the thing none of the others do.

The handful of other products that connect to your own number sell you a shared inbox or a way to send campaigns. They answer messages. They do not read your calendar, they do not offer times that are genuinely free, and they do not write the booking in after the customer says yes.

This books. It also takes orders, gives your own payment details, reads the confirmation the customer sends back, and follows everyone up afterwards. Every reply is labelled in your inbox, so you can read what it said the moment it said it.
